LISTSERV E-MAIL CHANGES - How do I manually change my e-mail address for a specific LISTSERV?

The LISTSERV mailing system is hosted by another company with a separate login. In addition, changing your LISTSERV e-mail address does NOT change it in the NCBA's membership database. You must also REPEAT the process to change your e-mail address for each LISTSERV you are a member of.
  1. Go to http://lists.ncbar.org/SCRIPTS/WA-NCBAR.EXE?REPORT&z=3
  2. One of two things will happen:
    1. If you have already logged into the NCBA’s LISTSERV Web site, the "Welcome to Subscriber's Corner" page will be displayed. Go to STEP 5!
    2. If this is your first time logging into the site, you will be instructed to log in or create a password using your old e-mail address. Go to STEP 3!
  3. Select the "get a new LISTSERV password" link in the first paragraph.
  4. The "Registering your LISTSERV password" page is displayed. ENTER the following information:
    1. Old e-mail Address. NOTE: You must enter your OLD e-mail address otherwise you will create a new login.
    2. New password in the "Password" box and "Password (again)" box.
    3. You will receive an e-mail at your OLD e-mail address requesting confirmation of your password change with a link to select.
    4. Select the link in the e-mail and the "Password Saved" page is displayed.
    5. Select "Lists.ncbar.org" at the bottom left-hand part of the page and "Welcome to LISTSERV” screen is displayed.
    6. Select "Subscribers corner".
  5. Select the ListServName under Lists Names, that you wish to change and the "Join or Leave the LISTNAME List" page is displayed.
  6. Change your e-mail address in the “Your E-Mail Address:” box.
  7. Click on “Update Options”.
  8. The following instructions will be displayed:
    1. “A confirmation request is being mailed to your new address (xxxx@xxxxx.COM). For security reasons, the change will not be made until it has been confirmed from the new address. Simply wait for the confirmation request to arrive, then follow the instructions to confirm the change of address.”
  9. Once you have followed the instructions listed on the e-mail, your e-mail address will be changed for that specific LISTSERV.

NOTE:

  1. You must REPEAT this process to change your e-mail address on each LISTSERV that you are a member of.
  2. If you are still having difficulties OR your old LISTSERV e-mail address is no longer active, then please send an e-mail to LISTNAME-request@lists.ncbar.org with the affected Listserv names and your new e-mail address. An NCBA System Administrator will make the requested change(s) and let you know when they are completed, which normally takes 1-2 business days.
  3. Changing your LISTSERV e-mail address does NOT change it in the NCBA's Association Management System (AMS) database and vice versa, since they are separate systems.
  4. To change your AMS e-mail address select the following LINK which will take you back to the main NCBA Web site, then select "myNCBar".
