The online "discussion forums" are a new feature of the .NET Community technology, which was implemented in March 2004. All NCBA Sections and Divisions have online forums, which allow their members to share opinions or see what others have to say about the legal issues for their legal specialties. The Technology Community will also have a forum in the future to address legal technology issues with reports from members on products, services, providers, and lessons learned.
These web-based discussion forums are currently available for any Web site visitor to review, however only NCBA members can start discussions and/or make comments as follows:
- Participation in the Section and Division Forum is limited to their section/division members only.
- Any NCBA member will be able to participate in the Technology Community Forums when they are implemented.
- Forum participants can also choose to be automatically notified via e-mail about new topics or comments on specific topics by selecting that option on the associated page when it is displayed. This option can be selected or deselected at any time.
The online "discussion forums" are not moderated, therefore:
- The opinions and products discussed on these forums do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the North Carolina Bar Association nor do they represent an endorsement of any product, provider, etc.
- Members are encouraged to use the LISTSERV/Forums “tips and etiquettes” when posting information, which can be viewed by clicking
